Flexible Solar Panels for Surfaces and Roofs with Limited Load Capacity
The flexible panel is built from high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon cells encased in UV-resistant polymer layers instead of glass and an aluminum frame. The result is a module that is significantly lighter than a conventional one and can be installed on surfaces that cannot meet the required structural load.
Installation is done by bonding directly to the surface with structural adhesive, with no drilling and no penetration of the roof waterproofing. The panel bends to fit curved surfaces, convex roofs, and vehicle canopies.
Integrating a Flexible Solar Panel into an Existing System
The panel is compatible with standard inverters and MC4 connectors and can be integrated into new systems or used to expand existing ones. Synergy Systems' engineering teams assist with array design and with matching the conversion and cabling equipment.
